Parenting Classes are provided to anyone interested in learning or reinforcing good parenting techniques. Parenting Skills Program offers 3 ten-week sessions each year starting in January, May and September. Participants must be paid in full and have completed at least 10 different classes to receive a certificate of completion. Classes are held on Thursday nights from 6 -8 pm with Registration at 5:30 pm prior to each weekly session.
There are three different tracks
- Class I for parents of Infants Birth to 24 mos.
- Class II for parents of Toddlers age 24 mos. to Kindergarten age
- Class III for parents of school aged children K-12th grade
FAQ about Parenting Classes
… ie. I have a toddler and a challenging child or I have a preschooler and a school-age child? Participants in parenting classes must complete one track of classes to get a certificate of completion, therefore they must choose which parenting issues to focus on when they enroll. Once a participant receives a certificate of completion, however, they are free to come back for another track at no additional cost.
Classes are $15.00 each week or $100 if you prepay on the first night of enrollment (This saves you $50.00) Prepay will only be accepted on the participant’s first day of class. Minimum enrollment is $15.00.
Participants can call Parenting Skills Program at 480.967.6895 and ask that a current brochure be mailed to them. The brochure will have an enrollment form that can be returned with payment. Participants can also come 15 minutes early on their first night of class and enroll at that time. You may enroll at any point in the session. Missed classes can be completed during the next scheduled session.
Classes are held at 2131 E. Broadway Road, Suite 14, in Tempe. The office is located on the southwest corner of the Price Road/101Freeway and Broadway Road.
