Meeting 6: Participants in  this workshop learn what trauma is, how it may impact children, and how their behaviors often are symptoms of those experiences. The workshop also provides information on how to create a safe place, how to become an advocate for trauma-specific services, and how to recognize and help prevent compassion fatigue. Participants should plan to attend all eight sessions and bring a sack lunch. Every Monday through April 15, 2019. There is no cost for outside agencies…

Families will learn how to use art with intention as a tool to connect and develop healthy relationships with the children they are fostering. Parents and children will complete a treasure hunt with the help of Free Arts Volunteers. We are limiting the number of families for this training as it will combine children and parents. This event is recommended for children ages 8 and up. Non-HRT families are welcome- $15.00 dollars individuals and $20.00 dollars per couple.
